BLT Mzansi Style
Made with Buns and Rolls Brown Rolls
VIEW BREAD BENEFITS

30ml oil

1 onion, peeled and diced

1-2 red or green chillies, deseeded and sliced

mild curry powder

2 carrots, peeled and grated

½ small green cabbage, shredded

1 green pepper, deseeded and diced

1 x 410g tinned chopped tomatoes

Salt and pepper

 

To serve:

4 – 6 Albany Superior Brown Rolls, split down the middle

500g boerewors, cooked and cut into 4 – 6 pieces

A few lettuce leaves, torn

1 tomato, diced

Fresh coriander leaves

Chakalaka

Heat the oil in a pan and gently fry the onion and chillies for 5 minutes.

Stir in the curry powder, carrots, cabbage and green peppers and cook for 4-5 minutes.

Increase the heat and add the tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.

 

To serve:

 Spoon some chakalaka into each roll.

Top with a piece of boerewors and some lettuce leaves, tomato and coriander leaves.

Serve with the extra chakalaka.
