Environmentally friendly technology has been implemented with a carbon footprint reduction focus in every area – from the motors, to the ovens and water recycling installation. Furthermore, the relaunch of the bakery has resulted in positive job creation for the area, a further testament to Albany’s support of local communities.
“For the upgrade, we took the environment into account and have increased our emissions efficiency by reducing the factory’s energy consumption and also placed emphasis on improving safety measures,” said Albany managing director Matshela Seshibe.
Emceed by comedian and much-loved Capetonian Marc Lottering, the crowd were in stitches as he made sure to bring an element of fun and comedy to some informative discussions and celebratory speeches.
Guests were entertained by amazing performers such as The Black Ties – a well known band putting their energetic spin on everything from Stevie Wonder and Michael Buble to the likes of Daft Punk and Bruno Mars. DJ Ready D also brought the party to life!
Albany brand ambassador DJ Zinhle, joined in on the celebrations and ended the day off with a special DJ set that had all the guests down on the dancefloor.
